Samir Shihada is a Professor of Structural Engineering with extensive academic and practical

book. He also has published numerous peer‑reviewed articles, supervised a wide range of graduate
research, and developed technical design resources widely used in both teaching and practice. His
areas of expertise include structural safety, retrotting, and dynamic loading design.
Mohammed H. Arafa is a Professor of Structural Engineering with extensive academic and prac‑
tical experience in reinforced concrete design, structural analysis, high‑performance concrete mate‑
rials, and structural assessment. He has published numerous peer‑reviewed articles, supervised a
wide range of graduate research, and developed technical design resources widely used in both
teaching and practice. His areas of expertise include structural safety, nite element analysis with
a strong background in ACI code applications, and spreadsheet‑based solutions. Mohammed H.
