1 Scope
This specification covers the minimum requirements for semiconductor phase controlled
dry-type air-cooled (Class AA) rectifiers up to 5 kW and oil-immersed self-cooled
(Class OA) rectifiers up to 45 kW.
References in this specification to “hazardous locations” shall comply with the NEC
requirements for Class I, Division 2. Manufacturing of rectifiers for Class I, Division 1
locations are not within the scope of this material specification.
2 Conflicts and Deviations
Any conflicts between this document and other applicable Mandatory Saudi Aramco
Engineering Requirements (MSAERs) shall be addressed to the EK&RD Coordinator.
Any deviation from the requirements herein shall follow internal company procedure
SAEP-302, Waiver of a Mandatory Saudi Aramco Engineering Requirement.
