Saudi Aramco: Company General Use

1 Scope

This specification defines the requirements for above and below grade junction boxes to

be used with cathodic protection systems.

This scope defines only installations in non-classified areas as recommended to be

installed. If installation is needed at classified areas, please refer to the appropriate

electrical and loss prevention codes.

2 Conflicts and Deviations

Any conflicts between this document and other applicable Mandatory Saudi Aramco

Engineering Requirements (MSAERs) shall be addressed to the EK&RD Coordinator.

Any deviation from the requirements herein shall follow internal company procedure

SAEP-302, Waiver of a Mandatory Saudi Aramco Engineering Requirement.

3 References

The design, product fabrication, and selection of material covered by this specification

shall comply with the latest edition of the references listed below unless otherwise

noted.
