Period of validity set by Decree No. 851, dated 04.04.77, of the State Committee for Standards of
the USSR Council of Ministers from 01.07.78.
to 01.07.83.
Failure to comply with this Standard will result in legal proceedings
This Standard applies to feed meal and granules, produced from seaweed - Fucus (wrack),
Laminaria (kelp), Phyllophora, and also from waste of agar manufacture and intended for
feeding of agricultural animals, poultry and pond fish.
1. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
1.1. Seaweed meal and granules for animal feed shall be produced according to the
requirements of this Standard by the process instructions with observance of the sanitary
standards and rules approved in accordance with the established procedure.
1.2. The organoleptic, physical and chemical indicators of seaweed meal and granules shall
meet the requirements specified in the table.

Color From yellow-green to dark-brown
Smell Specific and characteristic to feed meal and
granules from seaweed, without musty or foreign aroma
