SUMMARY OF CHANGE 1 MODIFICATIONS

1. Changed “MIL-C-29600 Series A” to “SAE-AS29600” throughout the document. Added new

paragraph 2.2.3, “Non-Government publications” to section 2, and included documents SAE-AS29600,

SAE-AS39029/59, SAE-AS39029/60, SAE-AS39029/90 and SAE-AS39029/91 in the document listing.

2. Updated the foreword on page ii with “DLA Land and Maritime” (formerly called “Defense Supply

Center Columbus”) and its associated email address.

3. Updated contents on page iv with “6.4, Changes from previous issue”, and on page v with “TABLE”,

referencing tables I and II.

4. Updated section 5 with a new subparagraph to provide dimensional requirements for size 10

contacts (see page 3).

5. Combined MIL-STD-1560B subparagraphs 5.1.i and 5.1.j into 5.1.j. This editorial change is

intended to provide overarching dimensional information for the connector gauge features, which ensures

that the “NOTES” following apply to both the plugs and receptacles.

6. Added new insert arrangement 9-7 to Figure 1. The new arrangement, using size 22D contacts, is

for a weapon system application.

7. Reinstated center contact cavity “PP” to Figure 9, insert arrangement 25-61. Reinstated “DD” cavity,

which is included in revision “A” of this document, but which is missing from revision “B”. Also reinstated

contact cavity “n” from previous revision “A”, in place of contact cavity “o”, which was transcribed

incorrectly into revision “B”.

8. Updated data in the table for insert arrangement 25-46 with the required SAE-AS39029/59 and /60

size 8 coax contacts, and added a note stating to use identical insert arrangement 25-90 if size 8 twinax

contacts in accordance with SAE-AS39029/90 and /91 are specified.

9. Updated notes for insert arrangements 17-2, 19-18, 21-75, 25-7, 25-8, 25-20 and 25-90 with the

following statement: “heat shrink sleeves used with size 8 twinax contacts are rated to 175 o C (347 o F)

maximum”.
