1 Scope
This specification together with the Purchase Order covers the minimum requirements
for Fire Protection Department uniform shirts.
2 Conflicts and Deviations
2.1 Any conflicts between this document and other applicable Mandatory Saudi
Aramco Engineering Requirements (MSAERs) shall be addressed to the
EK&RD Coordinator.
2.2 Any deviation from the requirements herein shall follow internal company
procedure SAEP-302.
2.3 If conflicts or deviations arise between this specification and other Purchase
Order documents not specifically covered as exceptions by the Purchase Order,
the Buyer shall be consulted and a ruling shall be obtained by the manufacturer
in writing before work proceeds. Fire Protection Department reserves the right
to review, test, and reject any manufacturer's uniform shirt prior to acceptance.
3 References
References listed below are a part of this Specification to the extent specified herein and
shall be of the latest edition, addendum, or revision in effect on the date of the Purchase
Order unless otherwise stated.

Federal Standards
FED STD 751a Stitches, Seams, and Stitchings
4 General Description
A long sleeve semi-dress shirt designed to maximize the appearance and wear life
potential of a precisely dyed fabric of proven long-term reliability.
5 Fabric
The shirt shall be manufactured with the following fabric to assure absolute consistency
of color, performance, and design.
Mill Spring
Style Punch
Blend 65% Dacron polyester; 35% combed cotton
Weave Poplin
Weight 4.25 oz./yard²
Finish Precure permanent press
6 Color
White
7 Inner-Lining Fabric
The inner-lining fabric shall be a polyester blend.
8 Thread
All thread shall be cotton wrapped on monofilament polyester core. Colorfast to
identically match fabric color.
9 Stitching
All stitching shall conform to Federal Standards 751a specifications (FED STD 751a).
All stitch types are sewn at stitch per inch rates (S.P.I.) set at not less than 8 S.P.I. and
