Foreword
This specification is under the jurisdiction of the American Petroleum Institute Subcommittee on Fiberglass and
Plastic Tubulars. The purpose of this specification is to provide standards for high-pressure fiberglass line pipe and
fittings for use in conveying produced fluids including oil, gas, nonpotable water, and mixtures thereof in the oil and
gas producing industries.
Nothing contained in any API publication is to be construed as granting any right, by implication or otherwise, for the
manufacture, sale, or use of any method, apparatus, or product covered by letters patent. Neither should anything
contained in the publication be construed as insuring anyone against liability for infringement of letters patent.
The verbal forms used to express the provisions in this recommended practice are as follows:
